The service

Rezident provides software for managing rented accommodation, including hostels, PGs, co-living, flats, and similar properties. Features include rent tracking, occupancy, expenses, tenant records, reminders, and reporting. We may modify, add, or remove features with reasonable notice when changes materially affect your use.

Accounts

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to manage the properties you add to the service.

Subscription and fees

Rezident is offered on a subscription basis. Current pricing is published on our pricing page. Unless stated otherwise:

• Plan: ₹2,550 per month for up to 150 beds or units across your properties.
• Additional capacity: ₹25 per month for each bed or unit above 150.
• Annual option: ₹27,500 for 12 months when billed yearly.
• Fees are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
• We may change prices with notice before your next billing cycle; continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.

Free trial

New accounts may receive a two-month free trial as described on our website. No payment card is required to start. After the trial, continued use requires a paid subscription. We may modify or end trial offers at any time.

Payment and cancellation

Paid subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your account or by contacting support@rezident.app. Cancellation stops future charges; access continues until the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated. Refunds are provided only where required by law or explicitly stated in writing.

Your data and responsibilities

You retain ownership of data you enter into Rezident. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display that data solely to provide the service. You are responsible for:

• Obtaining any consent required from tenants and staff for data you upload.
• Accuracy of rent, tenant, and property information.
• Compliance with applicable rent, tenancy, and messaging laws (including WhatsApp and telecom rules).
• Backing up critical records; we offer export on request but you should maintain your own copies.

Acceptable use

You may not use Rezident to:

• Violate any law or third-party rights.
• Upload malware, spam, or unlawful content.
• Attempt to access another user’s account or our systems without authorisation.
• Resell or sublicense the service without our written consent.

Intellectual property

Rezident, its logo, software, and marketing content are our property or our licensors’. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our brand or code except the limited right to use the service as provided.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Rezident is a management tool, not legal, tax, or financial advice. You are responsible for decisions made using the service.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rezident and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the service is limited to the fees you paid to us in the twelve months before the claim.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from your use of the service, your data, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay fees, or if required by law. You may stop using the service at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive (including liability limits, indemnity, and governing law) survive termination.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Kerala, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to applicable consumer protection laws that may provide you other forums.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email where appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
